SSES is 10 years old! Our grade 4 students were just babies when we made the move to our new school in March 2003. The last decade has been filled with wonderful people, memories and milestones.
On Thursday, March 7th we hosted a Spring Concert to celebrate our 10th Anniversary. We were treated to a decade of music that had everyone smiling and moving to the beat! Erik and Mya were our DJ hosts on Bogga Beats 99.9 FM. Our namesake, Sigurbjorg Stefannson was fondly named Bogga by her friends. As we moved through the decade of songs, it was clear that the same excitement that filled the halls 10 years ago was still present! To watch the smiles on each of the students' faces and to see the joy when they danced was amazing! A special thank you to our very talented Mrs. Isfeld, Mrs. Chapnick and Mrs. Magnusson for putting on such a wonderful show. Also, thank you to Mrs. M. Korolyk and Mrs. E. Gergatz for adding the finishing touches to our stage and hallways! Of course, no show is successful without the behind the scenes crew ~ Mr. Ostapchuk, Mr. Tarnowski, Mrs. Affleck, Mrs. Johnson and the entire staff at SSES.
To the students of SSES....you are amazing! We are so proud of you! You inspire us each and every day!
It was an amazing day for all of us at SSES....a chance to see retired friends, share our joy of music and to fondly remember the past 10 years. Thank you for sharing the journey with us....
