Our Spring Concert celebrated play, nature and the arts! Each class worked collaboratively with Mrs. Isfeld through Music explorations to create, compose, write and choreograph their performance. We were entertained with music, dance, sign language, instrumental compositions, drama and singing! It was a true celebration of creativity and imagination....what a magical day! Before each performance, Blaze and Amber shared what each classroom loved about nature and what they were most looking forward to in our Nature Playground.
The grade 3 & 4 choir had the honor and privilege of working with Ms. Kate Ferris. They collaborated to create a stunning song about playing in nature....it encapsulates our journey to our new Nature Playground! This was made possible by a Music grant from Manitoba Education.
A special thank you to Mrs. Isfeld for taking this journey with each of the children ~ the opportunity to create and perform is a true gift! Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way ~ your kindness and dedication is appreciated!
Finally, a special thank you to our audiences for sharing in our love of the arts!
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind,
flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” ~ Plato
I am so proud and overwhelmed by the creativity, collaboration, and passion that was exuded during this concert journey. Having all of our students so engaged and so invested in expressing our excitement about our natural playground makes me even more eager to embark on this project. Congratulations to all of the students and thank you to Mrs. Isfeld and our SSES team for creating this incredible opportunity for our students and our school. We are ready to dig in...."I just want to play!!"
