February is I LOVE to Read month at SSES! We kicked off our Wild About Books theme with the movie Madagascar and dressing up as our favorite Wild Animals. Flashlight Fridays will occur throughout the month of February and DEAR (Drop Everything And Read) will occur on Mondays and Wednesdays! We are excited to welcome guest readers to share in our love of reading! Be sure to check the calendar and website for each of the events! Happy Reading!

Reading is the catalyst for learning, because once we learn how to read, we can learn so much about the world!! Did you know that the best way to be an awesome reader is to read everyday? I Love to Read month is a perfect time to set new goals to enrich our lives....like reading every night before you go to bed, cuddling up with a favorite book with your grandparents, caregivers, parents, babysitters, friends, older siblings, reading the newspaper.....My goal this month has been to go to bed a little earlier so that I can read my book without falling asleep before I finish one chapter. (It takes me forever to read a book because I keep falling asleep!) I still need to work on this!! Explore the world ....READING RULES!!
