Grade 3 Field Trip to the Planetarium and Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature

The Grade 3s went on a field trip to the Planetarium and the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature.  We had a fabulous time!  A big thank you to all of our parent volunteers that joined us on our trip.


I loved the Museum of Man and Nature.  It was so cool. ~ Indiana

When we were there it was really cool and I learned that there were dinosaur fish. ~ Johannah

The Planetarium was my favorite.


My favorite part of our field trip was when we went to the planetarium. ~ Sydney

I learned that all of the fish skeletons and fish fossils were found in Lake Winnipeg. ~ Karsen

At the museum, there were lots of cool rocks. ~ Luke

I liked going to the Planetarium because we got to see all of the planets. ~ Lochlan

We saw the big boat, the Nonsuch.  It wasn't the real one, but it was a replica.  It had gone on the water and then they put it in the museum. ~ Avery


We saw the ancient deep sea. ~ Tommy

My favorite part was the Planetarium and I liked the boat.

All the dinosaur bones were awesome!!!! ~ Angelica

I was surprised at how much I learned while on the field trip with the Grade 3s.  I was educated and entertained all day long. ~ Mrs. Magnusson




All of the fossils in the museum were really neat! ~ Corbin

I was freaked out by the insect voodoo dolls with the pins in them.  ~ Mya

At the museum, we saw a polar bear and it was cool. ~ Emily


At the museum, I learned lots about planets and we got to see all of the planets close up. ~ Kenna

It was really cool how you felt like you were moving. ~ Madison

I learned that you can see two planets in the Manitoba night sky.....Mars and Saturn. ~ Taylor

The field trip was fabulous!  We explored and discovered so many new things.  The students were amazing! ~ Mrs. Poloski


I really liked the black and white movie theater because it had funny things in it. ~ Ryan

It felt like the meteorites were going to hit us! ~ Thor

I really liked going on the boat. ~ Jordin


We went to the Science center part and went in this mirror room.  It felt like we were everywhere even though we were just in one place. ~ Mikayla

I liked the Planetarium because it looks real.  At the end, I felt dizzy. ~ Malia

I saw lots of interesting things. ~ Morgan


At the museum we got to feel Arctic fox fur, polar bear fur, caribou fur and a polar bear's tooth.  The softest one was the Arctic fox fur. ~ Johannah

In the Museum, I saw lots of interesting things that I didn't know. ~ Gaven

My favorite part of our field trip was going to the Planetarium when he showed us all of the planets and simulated a meteorite coming towards us. ~ Erik


At the Planetarium, there was a huge meteor shower. ~ Signy

When we were watching the video, it started to move.  I didn't know what was happening and I thought I might throw up. ~ Lexy

This was the BEST field trip ever! ~ William

  3. I had a great time all day with my group of energized boys. We explored every part of the museum and the ship was very interesting.

    I hope you had fun there! I went to the Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature once. I hope we go there in Grade 3, too. That looked like so much fun! It looked like you were everywhere! I think you had fun! I wonder why you were dizzy. I hope we'll have fun, too! The pictures were great!
