Kindergarten Field Trip to Oak Hammock Marsh


The Kindergarten classes visited Oak Hammock Marsh for their field trip on Tuesday.  They had a wonderful time.  A special thank you to all of the parents that joined the Kindergarten kids on their trip!

I liked catching bugs.  I caught a leech and I saw a giant beetle! ~ Annabelle




I liked coloring the pictures of a bunny. ~ Haden

I liked to catch big bugs in the water. ~ Miguel

I liked critter dipping.  I caught a water beetle and a little brown bug.  I caught a snail! ~ Blaze

I liked critter dipping because you get to get your own critters.  ~ David



I liked catching critters because I caught a big snail. ~ Jodie

I liked looking for the homes.  I liked critter dipping because you got to look for things.  I caught one big bug and eight bugs.



I liked seeing animal homes. ~ Owen

I caught a snail.  And snails eat the grass. ~ Bryce

I liked finding the puppets' homes.  We each got a puppet and had to find its home. ~ Ben

  1. Your field trip looks like so much fun! We hope you had fun catching bugs. You must have had a lot of fun! We had fun when we went to Oak Hammock Marsh in Kindergarten, too! We remember going in Kindergarten. It was fun!

    It looks like you had an awesome time at Oak Hammock Marsh! It seems like you really enjoyed critter dipping. You can do your own critter dipping in ditches but make sure your with an adult! It was great that you were able to make bird feeders on your field trip. Thanks for sharing and we are so happy that you all had such a great trip and no one fell in the water!!

  6. Wonderful field trip! Carter was so excited about the whole day, but especially the critter dipping, he is still talking about it! It is so nice, as a parent to see these blogs, especially when it isn't always so easy to get the time to be there on field trip days! I am so happyu that everyone looks like they are having so much fun!!! I'm sure that the KGers will remember this day for a long time yet :)

  7. I am so glad you had a wonderful time on your very first field trip. Oak Hammock Marsh is an amazing place to learn and explore with nature. It was so nice looking at all the pictures and seeing how much fun you had critter dipping, making bird feeders and on your habitat walk. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

  10. Looks like you had a great time at the oak hammock marsh. My sister went there and she said she had a great time,too! One day maybe I should go there and see how much fun it is because it looks like you guys had a blast! Have a great summer kindergartens!!!!!!!!!!!!!
