Storybook Character Day!

 
 
SSES was filled with princesses, LEGO characters, pirates, and other storybook characters today!  Our next big event is on Friday....our Winter Olympics Fun Day and Closing Ceremonies!  GO CANADA GO!!!

  2. I loved all of the costumes and for those of you who didn't dress up-that is OK too as we all represent some aspect of our favourite storybook characters everyday. That's probably why they are our favourite character as we often aspire to those we admire. I dressed up as one of my favourite characters-Odd Velvet! (For older parents, I am still obsessed with Pippi Longstocking who was so independent, resilient,adventurous, and full of curiosity.) I LOVE Odd Velvet because she is confident with who she is, and does not try to conform or follow others-just so that she can "fit in" by buying the latest doll or outfit. She is intelligent, creative, artistic, kind, curious, and she appreciates nature. Odd Velvet enriches the world of all of those around her because of her uniqueness which is a celebration...
