A visit to Mission Trail Farms

The grade 1&2 classes visited Mission Trail Farms last week!  We were treated to a tour of the dairy farm, a milking demonstration and a visit with the goats and baby calves.  We also got containers of cream to shake to make our own butter....it was delicious on baguettes and buns when we returned to school!  Before we left the farm, we had cookies and milk!  It was a wonderful adventure at the farm!

Thank you to Jason, Melissa, Avery and Logan for welcoming us to your dairy farm and teaching us all about where our milk, ice cream and cheese comes from!

  1. It was such a great day and we learned some interesting facts! Like how one cow can produce about 5 gallons of milk when milked! WOW! Thanks for the experience.
